What is glamping?

Glamping is not really a new concept yet it has reached our country only recently. This model has long been used by top level African safari lodges, some of their tents being as deluxe as lavish hotel suites.

At the Terre di Sacra Retreat & Glamping, the Lodges come in two versions: Tent Lodges and Wooden Lodges. The Tent Lodges are large canvas tents set on platforms, equipped with running water, electricity, and ventilation. They are tents but offer all the comforts of a hotel, while being immersed in nature. Alternatively, the Wooden Lodges are wooden suites that embody the pinnacle of eco-efficiency, using sustainable materials and low-impact technologies.

At the Terre di Sacra Retreat & Glamping, you can choose between the Tent Lodges and Wooden Lodges, both located near the sea and adjacent to Italy’s first WWF sanctuary, the Oasis of Burano.

Tent Lodges come in three versions: SUPERIOR Tent Lodges , DELUXE Tent Lodges and PREMIUM Tent Lodges. All Tent Lodges are spacious and offer natural distancing, perfect for a vacation focused on comfort, nature, and clean seas. These beautiful tents are furnished in a functional and bright style and come equipped with a full kitchen, bathrooms, showers, and both hot and cold air conditioning. They vary in size, the number of beds available, and location: on the dunes, with sea view, or beachfront.

The Wooden Lodges are new wooden suites, representing the height of eco-efficiency through the use of sustainable materials and low-impact technologies. With intelligently designed spaces, the Wooden Lodges provide comfort without compromising sustainability, creating a welcoming and harmonious environment. Each Wooden Lodge is immersed in the pine trees and features a large veranda overlooking the garden. They come in three versions: Suite Wooden Lodge with one double bedroom, Family Wooden Lodge with two bedrooms (one double bed and one with twin beds), and the Couple Plus Wooden Lodge with two double bedrooms.

Couples staying for the weekend, families with small children and groups of friends, they will all find that a vacation in our Retreat & Glamping in contact with nature is an unforgettable experience.

For those who love the sea and comfort, the Dogana Beach Club welcomes guests with a fully equipped beach club, La Dogana restaurant, the Doganino Lounge Bar, and a children’s play area.

At the Terre di Sacra Retreat & Glamping, you can rent both electric and traditional bicycles, book a tennis court, and even arrange for sustainable fishing and excursions at the nearby Burano Lake, a WWF sanctuary within Terre di Sacra. The reception can provide information about the kitesurfing school, trips to nearby attractions like the beautiful Giardino dei Tarocchi, the Cities of Tuff, and visits to the best vineyards in Capalbio.

Terre di Sacra Retreat & Glamping is a door open towards the wildlife inhabiting the WWF Oasis which migrate crossing the nature reserve.

WWF Oasis’s staff takes care of turtles, flamingos, storks and other migratory animals that may need help. This is a fascinating place for nature lovers and it is perfect to teach children to respect the ecosystem and get to know wildlife’s habits.
