Cottage del Glicine is a villa nestled in greenery at Terre di Sacra’s estate.
The villa has two floors. The ground floor with its living area has a large living room, kitchen, laundry and guest bathroom. The living room is furnished with antique furniture and bamboo furniture. The comfortable emerald green sofa stands in front of the red brick fireplace. The fireplace’s fire is the ideal companion for mid-autumn evenings when, after spending the daytime in the open air, we feel like nestling indoor. On the first floor we have three bedrooms, each one with its own bathroom.
Cottage del Glicine has an amazing patio outdoor where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner and relax watching birds searching for a sheltered spot in the Burano Oasis.
Cottage del Glicine has also an annex in its garden. This building, smaller but designed with care for every single detail, has a bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet. The annex is ideal as a guest room or for families with grown-up children that want to be more independent.
Cottage del Glicine is located at about 800 meters from the seashore, which can be reached through a direct and private access. A private dirt road will lead you to the beach, passing through the beautiful Burano Nature Reserve. The road can by traveled by foot, bike and a golf cart.
All villas and cottages at Terre di Sacra are located at a short distance from the seaside. Cottage del Glicine makes no exception and, like all villas at the estate, it has a direct access to the sea. This means that you can reach the beach in about 15 minutes by foot even with young children. Cottage del Glicine is only a 5 minutes’ drive from the Macchiatonda beach equipped with facilities: on this beach, you can find two beach clubs where you can rent sun umbrellas, sunbeds and deck chairs.
Renting a villa at the Terre di Sacra Estate is not just an amazing seaside luxury holiday. The Estate, and the very Cottage del Glicine, are located in the wonderful Nature Reserve of Lake of Burano.
WWF has been protecting and managing this area since 1960, which was previously a game reserve. Five minutes away from the Cottage del Glicine you can visit the Nature Oasis’s Visitor Center where you can book tours and excursions, individual or for groups.
Tours are oriented to all those longing to learn the wonders and secrets of this area. Loads are the animals inhabiting the Reserve and you can also meet some in the very garden of Cottage del Glicine. At the same time, the park’s flora is unique and interesting. Children will be amazed hearing about the age of centuries-old trees, the fragility of endangered species and the spread of non-native plants.
