Renovated in 2020, Piccolo Cottage della Lavanda has three bedrooms: two doubles and one twin room, and two large white bathrooms. Guests of this prestigious home love the canopies that are in the two double bedrooms. The twin room has two comfortable white wrought iron beds. These simple but refined details give a romantic touch to the villa.
The Cottage has a large living room with comfortable sofas in beige tones, a TV and a dining table. The kitchen is simple and compact with all the amenities and equipment needed to prepare wonderful dinners.
Our guests particularly love the patio and the garden furnished with comfortable sofas and a dining table that overlooks the natural oasis of Burano. On stormy days, you can hear the sound of the sea waves carried by the wind.
This small cottage has direct access to the sea via a country road that borders the lake reserved for guests staying at the Terre di Sacra cottages.
A wonderful garden surrounds the house. A fragrant lavender hedge separates the patio from the garden. If you are lucky enough to rent this cottage in September, you can help the staff pick the grapes and pick the figs directly from the plant.
For those who have the opportunity to travel in autumn or spring, we suggest coming to Terre di Sacra off season. It is precisely in these seasons that the true nature of the Maremma landscape shows its most authentic and wild aspects.
Lake Burano is the destination of many migratory birds that come to the oasis to spend the winter. At the visitor center of the WWF Nature Reserve, you can get all the information about guided tours, nature trails to do with children and activities for the whole family.
Capalbio and the Maremma district also mean culture, gastronomy and traditions. To families willing to spend a holiday with children in Capalbio, we suggest visiting the Tarot Garden and its magical mysteries. To children studying ancient history for the first time we suggest visiting the City of the Tufo and learning about the history of Villanovan culture and Etruscans inhabiting those areas.
Culture is conveyed by food as well. The gastronomic culture in Capalbio and Maremma is interesting and certainly tasty. If you want to taste local dishes and top-quality ingredients, you undoubtedly have to try the restaurant of La Dogana Beach Club in Capalbio. Besides serving an excellent and tasty cuisine, this elegant and genuine restaurant is located in front of the sea, in a perfect position to watch the sunset while sipping a glass of Capalbio D.O.C.
